CHARLOTTE PORTRAIT GROUP
FAQ's
What can the model's wear?
We let the models (who can also be artists) pick and choose what they wear. Come as you are! We have had people dress up in cosplay, victorian attire, and more. Our only ask is that the costumes are not promiscuous. We are clothed portrait sessions so teens can come and draw with us, and we don't want to hear any negative feedback from parents. I know that 'promiscuous' can be suggestive, but my suggestion is if you could wear it out in public, and your grandmother wouldn't tattle on you to the authorities, then you're good.
Do you host on holidays?
We do not host on holidays or near holidays. However! If there is a 5th Wednesday in the month, we use it to ensure we give our artists 4 sessions a month to practice their craft.
Do you wear masks?
We mask up as a group when the CDC mandates it. We won't mask the model since that is 50% of the face. Artists are more than welcome to come with a mask if they need to, and we do ask that if you feel under the weather, please stay home.
Why $15?
The standard rate in Charlotte, NC, for a 3-hour session is $15. Think of it as $5 an hour when the model gets paid $25 an hour for their time. You're getting a really great deal.
