A completed artwork from the 'Wake Up' series by Chalice Meikle. This series is inspired by the artist's meditative experience outdoors. Chalice aimed to capture this sensory journey on canvas, employing various techniques and materials including flashe, acrylic paint, paint marker, brushes, nail polish, spatula, stencils, and spray paint. The vibrant artwork features layered hues and splatters of neon orange, royal blue, neon pink, lime green, burgundy, peach and fire engine red with yellow, green, and blue paint marker on top.

    Pull up a chair, grab a beverage, and practice your creativity. All levels welcome free figure drawing, which is hosted every Sunday of the month at Free Range in NoDa.
An old photo captures Chalice, the artist, engrossed in printmaking at a table in her studio. Her hair is pulled back in a ponytail, and she wears large silver headphones over her ears. Clad in all black, her paint-splattered pants testify to her creative endeavors. In the background, a finished artwork titled 'Eb and Flow MP2,' sits on the easel and features vibrant hot pink and purple tones. This mixed media piece on panel measures 4 feet by 4 feet and was created in 2017.
